The Last Question covers the journey of a super computer, Multivac, and generations of humans trying to figure out if it's possible to reverse entropy. The question of entropy becomes the last question. Covering from the present to the heat death of the universe, from Multivac's humble origins to becoming a hyperspace universal computer, the span of the story covers all of existence. As generations of humans ask the same question "Can entropy be reversed" and get the same answer "INSUFICIENT DATA FOR A MEANINGFUL ANSWER" from the different iterations of the super computer across the trillions of years covered in the short story. Arguably one of Asimov's best work, capturing all of time in a brief short story
