Island of Winds - Announcement trailer
1Parity Studios announced the Island of Winds story-driven adventure project, which will be released on PC and PlayStation 5 in 2022.
The plot is set in the 17th century in Iceland, where various mythical communities live. The main character Brunhilda is in the brotherhood of the Keepers of the Balance, who wield the magic of the power of nature. The girl goes in search of a mentor.
Players will find nine biomes based on real-life locations in Iceland. Along the way, you will meet many enemies and legendary creatures, including the King of Bears, Guardian of the Sea Halfguf and the elven lady Ver. The main mechanics of the game are exploration, puzzle solving and narration based on Icelandic mythology. One of the Island of Winds features will be a conflict resolution system, where you have to decide the outcome of the battle peacefully or violently.
