Issac Asimov's "The Last Question" Pt3: Galactic AC | #asimov #lastquestion #science
Part 3 of a animated series of Isaac Asimov's famous short story "The Last Question", covering when VJ23X and MQ17J ask the Galactic AC the ultimate question.
Tens of thousands of year after Part 2, the humanity is quickly expanding across the universe. Humanity's population is growing exponentially now that clinical immortality has been discovered. New worlds are being populated at a breakneck pace. Entire stars are now being harvested for energy, but it still won't be enough. The two argue and debate what would happen to humanity as million of years go by, entropy increases and stars start to run down. What would humanity do? Build new stars out of interstellar gas?
They ask the Galactic AC the same question, How do you reverse entropy, but they get the same answer:
Insufficient data for a meaningful answer
What will humanity do once there aren't enough stars and galaxies to hold a fast growing universal human civilization.
