2Jarhead and I decided to embark on a soul crushing journey through the Unova Region. Join us as we attempt to complete a Randomized Hardcore Soul Link in Black 2. We are determined to beat this game no matter how many attempts it takes us.

Nuzlocke Rules:
You are only allowed to catch one pokemon for every route that you enter
You must nickname every pokemon you catch so that you can be emotionally traumatized per the next rule
Every time a pokemon you control faints in battle, it dies. You must either set that pokemon free or put it in the box for the rest of the game.
You may trade pokemon to NPC's and this pokemon does not count as an encounter in that area.
Exceptions: If any pokemon you own are unable to learn an HM that is required to make it through the game, you may put a dead pokemon from your box onto your team for the sole purposes of having it use the HM. This pokemon may not be used in battle.
You may catch shinies that you encounter, but you may not use them unless you have caught another non shiny pokemon of the same kind legitimately.
Soul Link Rules:
The pokemon each player receives from each route are linked. The pokemon caught from the same route by different players must share the same nickname and if one of the two pokemon die, they both die.
If one pokemon dies in battle, its partner may no longer be used by the other player. If its partner is in play, it must be swapped out immediately.
No pokemon on one person's team may share a primary typing with any pokemon on the other's team. (i.e. player 1 cannot have a charizard [fire/flying] if player two has a Monferno [fire/fighting]. However, player 1 can have a charizard [fire/flying] if player 2 has a Houndoom [Dark/Fire] because their primary typings are different.)
Players must fight trainers and challenge gyms at the same time to avoid having more or less pokemon than their fellow player in any given battle.
Hardcore Rules:
Players may not bring more pokemon to a gym battle than the leader of the gym.
Players may not over level the gym leader before they start the gym battle. However, during the gym leader battle, they may over level the gym leader
Players may not use any items of any sort in battle.
Players may not use any pokemon of the same evolutionary line of any pokemon they already have.
If either player reaches a whiteout screen, both players must restart the run.
Pokemon cannot hold the item leftovers.
The Battle type must be "Set" not "Switch"
