19The events of Test Drive Unlimited 2 take place on the Spanish island of Ibiza, as well as on Oahu, known from the first part. Freedom of movement around houses and other objects (car dealerships, shops, clubs), updating the interior of purchased houses, visiting hairdressers and plastic surgeries. All this is only a small part of the content. As in the previous part of TDU, many missions, racing modes and side quests are available here, and the car fleet has become much richer and more intense.
The game also has a dynamic change of weather (and for different islands the weather changes independently and differently) and a full change of time of day. As in the first part, cars and motorcycles are divided into several classes, differing in technical characteristics; in total, the game has more than 100 models from famous world manufacturers such as Alfa Romeo, Audi, Nissan, Volkswagen and many others.
While at his birthday party in Cala de San Vicente, Ibiza, the protagonist meets Tess Wintory, the daughter of the "host" of the international racing championship "Crown of the Sun". Tess invites the protagonist to her garage, where she gives him a Ferrari California sports car. During the drive, the protagonist hears a strange sound.
It turns out that it was a dream, and the protagonist himself is an ordinary car valet. Tess says that she has been waiting for him for too long and decides to fire the protagonist, but changes her mind, since one of the participants of the "Crown of the Sun" refuses to participate in the races. She offers him to participate in the championship if he has time to take her to the club.
At the club, Tess introduces the protagonist to the viewers of the "Crown of the Sun" and explains that they need to get licenses to legally participate in the races. She introduces the protagonist to Todd Bishop, a driving instructor, who takes him to a used car dealer, Jude. There the hero chooses his first car and temporary housing.
What could be worse than being on a rear-wheel drive in the rain? I think this is the worst thing that can happen to a car enthusiast. The slightest mistake can cost you victory in the championship! Only a true professional can withstand such a test. A fight with rivals, a car and yourself. It will hurt...
