172The Fool's Apprentice is a game that puts us in charge of a magical academy, called The Conservatory, where it's our job to get students to read magical Runic Script to further advance the world!
The Conservatory is a gorgeous building, filled with all sorts of fantastic magical things. There are benches covered with mystical doodads, there's a gigantic spinny globe thing and there are weird gigantic magical toilets... OK maybe that last one isn't quite right but there's a lot of very beautifully presented things.
Our job is to get students in, have them increase their skills in various magical disciplines, such as thaumaturgy, illusion and artificer, and then they go and complete a challenge to get us some very lovely research points.
The only thing is, the challenge thing is quite dangerous and the students can end up a bit dead if they're not talented enough, and I won't lie, our students just aren't talented enough!
We try our very best, buying in various new tables and gadgets to help them learn, but they run around learning random things which means they're not good enough for the challenges, which we need to do in a set amount of time otherwise they get bored and quit!
So it's a tricky thing, but there are plants to buy so that's nice. Oh and one of the traits the students can have is Long Legs, which is good.
Just don't mention all the dying.

The Fool's Apprentice is a magic school simulator that puts you in the position of Arcanist Tharn, a mage from a prestigious family by the same name. As this accomplished wizard, you will shepherd your many woefully unskilled apprentices towards a modicum of knowledge... by ensuring they cannot possibly step outside the bounds of proper curriculum.
