This episode revealed the daddy/daughter drama! This is getting intense! What did you think of Episode 2 of Mobile Suit Gundam: the Witch from Mercury?
At the conclusion of the duel, Suletta is arrested and Aerial is impounded on the suspicion of being a Gundam. Due to the battle, Elan Ceres picks up an interest in Suletta, despite his promise to never fall in love. Meanwhile, Nika and her classmates are left to deal with discrimination from Spacian students due to being born on Earth. Worried that Aerial is actually a Gundam in violation of the Cathedra Agreement, Delling takes charge of the investigation and orders Aerial's manufacturer, the Shin Sei Development Company to appear before a hearing. Miorine meanwhile is left conflicted about Suletta's arrest, and is furious when she's informed that her father has decided to cease the duels and instead personally arrange her marriage. She runs away again and happens to run into the group that promised to help her escape to Earth, and they manage to successfully smuggle her out of the station. At the hearing, Shin Sei's representative Lady Prospera defends the company, stating that Aerial is built with the latest drone technology and is not a Gundam. Delling remains unconvinced and is about to order the destruction of Aerial before Miorine intrudes on the hearing. Angry at her father controlling every aspect of her life, she publicly challenges Delling to a duel. If her side wins, then Suletta will be officially recognized as her fiance, and if Delling wins, Miorine will follow his wishes. Guel's father Vim Jeturk then speaks up, mentioning that Aerial may be the thing they need to reverse the Beneritt Group's declining market share. With the Beneritt Group now split on how to deal with Aerial, Delling agrees to the duel. Miorine then reunites with Suletta and tells her she must win her next duel or she will be expelled and Aerial will be scrapped.
