It's like I'm living back with my mother - The Sims, Get a life mode [1]
2Welcome to The Sims 1 on Playstation 2 where we play the "Get a life" mode!
In this episode we create our Sim, Kenya Swallow, who currently lives with her mother who wishes nothing more than for her to move out.
Our Sims goal is to increase her skills in cooking, so she doesn't burn down the house and mechanics, so mother can go back and watch the TV again instead of interacting with our Sim and then eventually, get a job so Kenya can move out.
But as with any coming of age tale, our Sims life is not easy from the start. Her cooking is bad and she experiences what it's like to be a skeleton for about five seconds. Her mother is both helpful and unhelpful at the same time. Life is complicated for our Sim.
Will our Sim make it out alive or will she die before she can even experience life as an adult? Only time will tell.
The Sims, console edition, came out in 2003 on the PlayStation 2, Xbox and GameCube. It was the first Sims game to come with a story mode.
