36I was always told uppercuts were better and so i wanted to learn and swap over to the strategy. To my surprise it essentially breaks even with walking concussor double jumps. A technique i've invented in many spots. Uppercuts are still faster if the gates are taller, but it's not by much in the end. A downside to the uppercuts is the spiders that spawn in the following room, you need good spacing on your movement otherwise you'll get hit.
I'd say do what you're the most comfortable with.
