Jake Thinks Winning Debates is About Evading Answering Questions and Deflecting
Flat Earther Jake the A-hole thinks Red Pill Philo-Sophie beat McToon in a debate, and played a soundbite of him deflecting a question about controlling for confounding variables, by asking if someone McToon hadn't mentioned (Aristotle) had controlled for confounding variables when watching ships go over the horizon.
Incidentally, Aristotle not controlling for confounding variables wouldn't necessarily mean his conclusion was false. It would mean his reasoning wasn't sound, and the thing you can do there is to fix it - by controlling for confounding variables.
Later, in the part I didn't play, he demands McToon disavow Aristotle's observation for not controlling for confounding variables, yet fails to realise that by the same token, his own is disavowed too by the same logic.
Instead, I show the footage RPP tells McToon is clear and "shows everything."
Would anybody be surprised if I told them it did no such thing?
