7James Gunn and Peter Safran are rebuilding the DC Universe and are creating an incredibly detailed world map for the comic book heroes. They are not packing the Superman: Legacy film with characters to attract buyers in a potential sale of DC.
On threads, Gunn responded to fan queries about the DC Universe. One fan asked if he had given any thought to the lay of the land in the DCU, and Gunn replied that they are creating an incredibly detailed world map.
Another fan asked if there was a possibility that some of the actors from the Marvel film Guardians of the Galaxy could guest star as themselves in the new season of Peacemaker. Gunn said that there are reasons he wouldn't want either of those actors to play themselves in the DCU.
Gunn also clarified that they are not packing the Superman: Legacy film with characters to attract buyers in a potential sale of DC. The film is scheduled to be released on July 11, 2025, and will tell the story of Superman’s journey to reconcile his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing as Clark Kent of Smallville, Kansas. #superman #DC #JamesGunn
