We make a simple text editor in JavaFX using the MVC pattern. The editor is able to load, edit and save back a plain text file.

In addition to improvements mentioned in the tutorial, there are various others that can be added. For instance, toolbar + icons, hotkeys, better UI and UX. For more experienced users: data encryption, data compression, custom file format or even cloud hosting.
