Most people have seen or heard of the JB Weld brand, it has been around a long time, but is it as good as the manufacturer would have you believe?
In todays video we are focusing on plastics, these are often the most difficult repairs as they flex and bend so need a glue or bond that can also flex with it but also maintain it's structure and strength.
Items we are trying to fix
Sticking a small but heavy speaker to a cabinet
repairing a crack in a PC fan mounting
repairing a cracked mobile phone mount (under spring tension)
holding a spring loaded flourescent tube into a plastic housing
repairing a damaged MAF or mass airflow sensor from an E36 BMW
I was surprised that all these repairs worked as intended and the bond is very strong and i would say semi permanent. They will break free with enough force, but as you will see even with a LOT of force the MAF sensor is pretty much like steel.
