Steve Coffey is a songwriter and painter over in Vulcan Alberta. Yes, the Vulcan Alberta!! We've played some shows together and had a couple of late nights years back...but it's been a while now, too long. I have always been a little inspired by your songwriting and your perspectives, so I always wanted to cover a Steve Coffey song. Same Boy is such a great album and heart hitting song...but My Hometown is the one I was meant to sing and play. I guess it's my favorite Steve Coffey song.

Another thing about that album that grabs me is the players who are on it...and who recorded it. Steve Loree is a great engineer and producer who is a legend and hero to me. Lance Loree played leads on that song....and in this video you can see a photo on the wall of two cowboy hats on the prairie. That's Lance Loree and I outside his brother's ranch after a hilarious canoe ride. I appreciate everything the Loree's have done for musicians in this country. So thank you Lorees and Steve Coffey. This song is for you. My friend Crystal heard me singing it once and said she loved it...she had good taste. Maybe that's why this is the second video I made with this camera.
