I was at my parents' house for a few days so i decided to try a new NES game, and I think I picked the right one. Journey to Silius is a fun little platform shooter for the Nintendo Entertainment System that was released by Sunsoft in 1990. I'm playing this on the Nintendo Switch.
The main character is named Jay, and his father recently died. The news said it was an accident, but there's evidence on a FLOPPY DISK that says otherwise. Jay sets out to avenge his father's death and stop a terrorist threat.
You start the game with a simple handgun that shoots ping pong balls, basically. Kinda like Mega Man. It's got a decent rate of fire but low power. You also have a Shotgun that can shoot three bullets in a wide arc, but has poor speed.
As you progress through the game, you find more weapons to add to your arsenal. At the end of level one, Jay finds a Machine Gun. In the next level, he also picks up a Homing Missile.
Anyway, I'd say this is one of the top 10 great NES soundtracks.
