This month was a bit of a backstep, because 2 days after he got the new hoofshoes he lost one again. And because he lost a few now we got rid of the other one and wanted to find an alternetive, also because the nails dont really sit in the hooves anymore because he ripped them out multiple times. The days without shoeas very a catastrophy. I couldt tie him to a wall he destroyed 6 ropes. One hit my hand with the metalpart and I could barely move it for a while. Giving the hooves for cleaning also didnt worked at all. So without shoes on the front is defenitly no option. Then the Aluminium Farrier recommended Glue Shoes from Good Smith, this way we wouldnt need nails and the hooves could recover. Luckily there was a Good Smith Partner close and I got an appointement very quickly after I made clear we need a solution despretly 😅 A few day I just let him be horse and only fed him to calm down again and get used ti the new walking feeling. Then no rope destruction and goofcleaning worked fine again as if nothing happened before. I let him run a bit and worked with the double rope again. The last days he had off again because its way to hot to work and I dont want him to overheat. On top of that the bugs got very agressive and he has a massive swelling from one as big as my hand twice. Never saw such a big bug bite. The vet meant if its not gine after a week I should let it get checked again.
