Since rotating all three pieces clockwise or counterclockwise gives the same image only rotated, I think we can divide Arthur's 1728 by 3 and get 576 combinations.

Furthermore, the lower right image has a face that is rotationally symmetric. According to my calculations, this takes away an additional 96 combinations, leaving us with 480 possibilities.

This is also true of a face on the top artifact. This takes away yet another 96 possibilities, but we need to add 16 back in for double counting, so that leaves us with 400 possibilities.
