Remember the fight I said would end up kicking my butt? Well apparently, the secret to winning is to practice. Who knew?\n\n(Fun note: This video contains an extra clip at the end, which is simply for giggles. Please watch all the way through, rather than just skipping to the end. :P)\n\nI originally thought that the level select code wouldn't allow you to play this level, but that was just my stupidity at work. Long story short, it's level 7-3 in the level select menu. Being able to fight Rico over and over was extremely useful for learning where to stand and all that. Sure, an emulator would've worked just as well, but I don't feel like setting up the Playstation 3 controller yet. :)\n\nAnyway, the only special weapon I needed was the Armor shot. It's basically just a super version of the regular gun, doing at least three times the damage and piercing anything in its path. The piercing thing really isn't that useful here (though I make use of it for the first shot), because of the ladder glitch I stumbled onto while practicing/goofing around.\n\nThat wall is obviously supposed to be completely solid, but Dredd doesn't care about obstacles when he's climbing up. Because of this, I'm able to sneak two shots in and then chase Rico down immediately. Worth noting that you can fire off the spark shot (the only weapon that can hurt him when he's flying around) before he even leaves the ground.\n\nI didn't manage that this time, but I nailed him on his first pass. After that, I went to work making him look extremely stupid. The reason I hit him with the first spark shot was to cause him to go into his second attack mode, which is to fire off grenades all the time. Since grenades are easy to avoid, I spend the time to gather 10 more spark shots.\n\nYou only need to hit Rico with 8 spark shots to beat him, so I only really needed 7 at the time. I collected another 3 for insurance purposes, because it's very easy to waste a shot by firing at the same time Rico does. The flight loop he got stuck in was something I had seen once before, which is the reason why I stood there like that.\n\nAlso note that the freaking blue crate at the end caused a death in one of my failed attempts. I had just stomped Rico, and then did a running jump across that gap. Then I met Mr. Blue Crate. Dredd hit it like a brick wall and fell to his death. A haw or two was had.\n\n(Now if I can just figure out a solid plan for the final boss...)
