Judge imposes precautionary measure in Fernandito case | Indigo Report
823Three members of a family, identified as Carlos "N", Ana Lilia "N", and Lilia "N", were arrested and taken to the Nezahualcóyotl Penitentiary Center in the State of Mexico for their alleged involvement in the kidnapping and murder of Fernandito, a 5-year-old boy.
According to the State of Mexico Attorney General's Office (FGJEM), the minor was abducted from his home in the Ejidal El Pino neighborhood, in the municipality of La Paz, allegedly in retaliation for a debt of one thousand pesos. The child's body was found days later at the home of the suspects.
The Attorney General's Office charged the three suspects with the crime of disappearance committed by private individuals, which carries a sentence of 25 to 50 years in prison. A judge ordered pretrial detention, and their legal status will be determined on August 11.
