Whilst clearly inspired by Furi for the core gameplay mechanics and design, Godstrike does a lot to stand out. For one, the narrative element is almost non-existent so it's all about the crazy boss-bashing action. Then, not only does the title completely flip the genre on its head by removing the players health bar and having everything instead based on a time limit, with damage removing chunks of the countdown from the player (until the last hit), but the custom selection of passive and active abilities (that affect the starting time a fight) allows for total customisation around each player's own style.
