Jumping Into Metaphor: ReFantazio (This Sort of Thing is My Bag)
0I've been hearing good things about Metaphor: ReFantazio and so decided to try it out whilst live on the internet. This the VOD from that stream where I went in and found out what sort of game it was (a turn based RPG), how much it has in common with Persona (tons) and some of what new it has to offer. I wanted to know if it was my bag and it turns out, yes. This sort of thing is my bag.
I'll say, I spent 6 hours playing the game during this stream and just like in Persona it has not opened up yet. I'm not out of the demo and the main plot has only barely revealed itself. That said I have seen a good amount, I have figured out some systems and have some idea where things might be going based on my knowledge of Persona.
I think I will buy this game and continue playing it off stream, though maybe before I'll look and see how the reviews characterize the systems I didn't get to see in my first 6 hours. I imagine they work a lot like Persona based on my first 6 hours. To be clear, that's a good thing.
