Junk Midrange Deck Tech - Magic the Gathering Online
Roguedeckbuilder.com presents: Junk Midrange Deck Tech!
Recently I was asked if I had a goto deck or a "real" deck that I used in tournaments, and here it is. I feel that Junk Midrange is the best positioned deck against the Standard field. It is great against both R/B and R/G Zombies, Red Deck Wins, Selesnya Aggro, and the more midrange or control decks like Jund and Bant.
The Deck is centered around Restoration Angel bouncing targets like Thragtusk, Borderland Rangers and Disciple of Bolas. Other notable creatures are Angel of Serenity, Armada Wurm or and Acidic Slimes to help answer the various threats that the standard field has. It also boasts the planeswalker package of Garruk Relentless, Garruk Primal Hunter, Sorin Lord of Innistrad and Vraska. Between the Sever the Bloodlines and Oblivion Rings, the deck has enough control to stabilize the board until either your planeswalkers or flickered restoration angel targets start overwhelming your opponent. I have had great success running this deck in various local tournaments and have probably played close to 200 games at the competitive level and can testify to the fact that IT WORKS. I know similar versions took down various state competitions recently, but I am still partial to my unique build as I feel it covers multiple holes I think lie in the token and more aggro versions.
Enjoy!
