I love how I said I don't care if you call a wyvern a dragon "cause they are all mythological creatures" but then will legit stop watching a show if they even slightly get Greek mythology wrong. My stance on mythology is complicated. When it comes to media, if you are going to reference mythology, do it right and don't twist it for your own agenda (looking at you Ovid). However, when it comes to just talking about a creature, if we all know what we are talking about why correct them? That would be like if someone drew medusa just with snake hair and then I'm like "well actually 🤓 she should have wings, brazen hands and tusks". According to Apollodorus, yes that is what Medusa looked like, but not according to the modern mainstream interpretation of Medusa (or even contemporaries of Apollodorus). Mythology, just like all religions, naturally changes over time. Sure, back in the day there was a cultural difference between a dragon and a wyvern, but nowadays those differences don't really exist.
