Trivia
General
We Can’t Stop is the second song by Miley Cyrus in the Just Dance series.
If We Can’t Stop had been kept as a DLC in Just Dance 2014, it would have been her first one.
Including Start All Over (Just Dance Kids 2), Hoedown Throwdown, and I Thought I Lost You (both from Just Dance: Disney Party), We Can’t Stop is her fourth song in the franchise.
"H*ell," "Molly," "but*," "str*p," and "line" (in "tryna get a line in the bathroom"), are censored. Additionally, the line "We can screw who we want" is replaced with "We can live how we want".
Routine
We Can’t Stop is the first post-Just Dance 3 routine in the series to receive major graphical changes in following appearances.
We Can’t Stop is the only downloadable routine in the Just Dance series to be released but later permanently removed from a game's DLC store on all consoles for reasons other than a server closure.
The dancer does a move known as the Cat Daddy during the post-chorus.
In both versions of the routine, the coach’s heels glitch when she lies on the ground. They glitch yellow in Just Dance 2014 and light blue in Just Dance 2015.
We Can’t Stop was accidentally released in the Xbox Marketplace for about five hours on Tuesday, November 26, 2013. It was also released in October 1, 2013 for the PAL Wii and on February 1, 2014 (for half an hour) on the Xbox Marketplace. All of whom downloaded it can still access it.
Before it became a DLC for Just Dance 2014, throughout the Just Dance Facebook page, replies to queries included: "Be patient", "Nothing confirmed yet" and even "We have no plans for this song right now".[citation needed]
The song was leaked yet again on the Wii U shop accidentally for six minutes on May 4, 2014, from 2:37 p.m. to 2:43 p.m.
We Can’t Stop used to be available for people who hacked their Wii on Just Dance 2014; however, on November 26, 2013, it was replaced by Dummy, a replacement "song" used when We Can’t Stop was removed from the hacked in-game shop.
The Just Dance 2014 version of We Can’t Stop included two avatars as part of the download: one that resembles the coach and one that resembles Globox from Rayman Legends.
The Globox avatar became available for purchase in Just Dance 2016.
In Just Dance 2014, the teddy bear’s sunglasses tend not to follow the beat together with the bear’s head.
The Just Dance 2014 avatar’s hair color is in a much lighter shade of brown than the actual coach’s.
The photos in the Just Dance 2014 version became involved with copyright disclaimers.[citation needed]
The Just Dance Now files originally had a folder called "WeCantStop", which was later renamed to "WeCantStopDLC" like every other downloadable map from Just Dance 2014.[citation needed]
A Just Dance Now picture with the Just Dance 2014 version of We Can’t Stop was leaked on the Dutch Just Dance Facebook page, but it was removed later.
Although the routine has been remade, the files of Just Dance Now use the Just Dance 2014 version of the routine.
In Just Dance 2015, the pictograms keep their original colors despite the coach having a revamped color palette.
In the Just Dance 2015 scoring screen, the Just Dance 2014 version of the album coach is shown.
In Just Dance 2015, there is a glitch with the coach’s glove where it becomes partly black at some moments, usually when it comes into contact with her body.
The teddy bear from Just Dance 2014 reappears in the remake of Teenage Dream.
The bulldog-like creatures from the Just Dance 2015 version reappear in Just Dance 2018 as an unlockable sticker.
In The Art of Just Dance (10th Anniversary Edition), an edited version of the Just Dance 2014 album coach is shown instead of the Just Dance 2015 one.
