Hello everyone! Here's the second P@D release on this channel... something that's more in the genre I'm the most used to make, orchestral!
This track is still a bit different, though... It's more "dark" and "spiritual", if I can describe it like that. More like a chant.
"Dragons" was mostly inspired by songs like "Misty Mountains" and "Rains of Castamere". I always wanted to make a song like that.
And for that kind of song... a deep bass is needed. That's why I asked the one and only Tim Storms to collaborate with me! :D
For those who don't know who he is, here's a little wikipedia-recap:
"Tim is an American singer and composer. He holds the Guinness World Records for "lowest note produced by a human" and the "widest vocal range". He has appeared with a number of singing groups, including Freedom, Vocal Union, AVB, Acappella, and Rescue. He also performed with the cast of Branson’s "50s at the Hop," was voted Branson’s Bass Singer of the Year for three years in a row, and is in the Branson’s Entertainers Hall of Fame.
He joined Pierce Arrow Theater in Branson at the beginning of the 2006 season. In 2012, after auditioning to record with the St. Petersburg Chamber Choir in St. Petersburg, Russia, Storms was selected by composer Paul Mealor, producer Anna Barry and Decca Records to record four songs with the choir. Two of the four songs, "De Profundis" and "The Twelve Brigands," ended up on the Universal/Decca Records release, "Tranquility Voices of Deep Calm"."
As the lowest voice, he sure did an incredible performance here, so thanks a lot to him for that! :D
Also, a big thanks to PegasYs who helped me to complete and correct the lyrics I wrote for this song. If I'm not mistaken, I think we wrote like 50/50 of the track. x)
