KA-BAR 1211 Speed Unsheath + Throw
8Although throwing a knife in combat is pretty much a terrible idea, as a form of target practice and hand/eye coordination, it is quite fun, and frankly can be pretty impressive. I'm by no means an expert; I'm just a blade enthusiast having a little fun with his collection. :)
I've included a blooper reel which illustrates why I pause briefly before throwing after an unsheathing. If I hadn't paused, tragedy could have followed. Though pausing would leave a window of vulnerability in a real fight, you would more likely benefit from a quick assessment, and again, when was the last time a soldier ever had to throw a knife in combat to save his life? Keep in mind when you practice, use soft targets to avoid blade damage, and check your target before throwing if you aren't alone. Remember, safety first!
