Kangaroo (Arcade) Practice Session
This was a practice session to learn the third stage again, for the Arcade Archives version of this game on the Switch. Though this game is an easy kill, this is the type of isolated save state practice I do for games of all difficulty ranges, to put them together legit. Efficient section practice with saves has really accelerated the KILLS for games with limited lives and continues. I started using that technique in 2014 with Gremlins 2 for the NES and shortly after Jim Power for the SNES, which was a great game to refine that skill on (shitty game otherwise).
I only use whats available in a game with no cheats. Currently at 99 kills for the month, so will easily break 100 + games beaten this month. Still deciding if I will do another high volume month next month or mix it up again and work in some longer games. Normally I average 25-40 kills monthly, with the occasional higher volume month (400 + KILLS yearly). This month I got my play time up to maybe 140-150 hours by the time this month is done, but even with that most of the time was spent beating shorter games to rack up a high KILL count. Normally I like to balance it out more with some longer games mixed in. A big reason for the high volume this month was because I just added a shit ton of roms across 4 new systems on the emulation focused PC, plus a huge hardware upgrade for that PC. Switch, original Xbox, PS3 and Xbox 360 are all added or in the process of being added, further collected, plus will be going back and completing some of the rom collections for shit like 3DS, Wii, PS2, etc, now that I have larger HDD's available.
Stay tuned !!
