Above is a brief tour of the Karaoke app as it exists after August of 2014. The app can still be re-downloaded from your Purchase History but only launched from the download completion window. Without the server connection there is no way to play the game and after exiting it doesn't appear under My Games.

Delisting: August 14, 2014
In May of 2014 a message was displayed to users within Karaoke stating that the service would be shutting down on August 15, 2014. No reason has been publicly stated for the game’s cancellation but it was likely due to low sales of Karaoke Passes, the end of licensing with Stingray/The Karaoke Channel or a lack of interest from sponsors who Microsoft expected to pay for in-game branding.

Delisting is what happens when licensing deals, studio closures and financial failures bring a downloadable game offline. Delisted Games hopes to chronicle as much of a game’s afterlife as Wikipedia does its creation and reception.
