It follows the story of Kathy Rain who is now a private investigator at Rain Investigations. However Rain Investigations is not doing well and Kathy is in desperate need of money or risk closing down her own agency. An opportunity arises when her mentor, Lucas, shows up with a case. There is a serial killer on the loose and a huge cash reward for anyone who could solve the case. Kathy decides to take the case on. Will she manage to successfully solve the case or will she and her mentor become the next victim of the Soothsayer?
