In this episode of Kena: Bridge of Spirits, upon starting the game, we'll be put in control of Kena, our protagonist. Hit the E button as prompted to activate a pulse. This will light up nearby spirit objects such as flames, symbols, and crystals. For now, it will light our way through the cave.

Proceed into the tunnel ahead and after a short jog, you'll see a ghostly figure ahead. As you approach it will vanish and reappear in the distance. Follow these until you reach a larger room filled with water with numerous spirits.

There is a small platform with an energy seal on the ground at the center of the pool. Stand on this and use Pulse once again to open the door in front of it.

Head on through the door and at the end of the tunnel drop down to the path below. Continue into the larger cavern ahead. As you arrive, a scene will play.

When you regain control, you'll find yourself in combat. Follow the on-screen tooltips to try out your fast (R1) and Strong (R2) attacks. After dispatching the first two enemies, another two will show up and the game will prompt you to try dodging (Circle). Clear this second set of enemies to end the fight.

Following the fight, you will find that the energy seal here is inactive. To activate it, look on either side of the large door in front of the seal to find a pair of small obelisks covered in crystals. Approach each and use a pulse on them. Once both have been activated, step on the energy seal and use a pulse to open the door.

Proceed through the open door and up the stairs to exit the cave into a forest area. Follow the path here, following the children that appear and disappear until you eventually reach a fallen log blocking your path. Approach and interact with this for a scene.

Following the scene, you will find the Rot whisp running around with a leaf. Get close to it and use your pulse. This will enable you to interact with it to collect it. Doing so will trigger another scene, after which you will begin your first quest - Find the Rot.
