A few notes on the craft
The canards are tilted up in two axes in order to allow fast ascent without pitching up and getting a ton of drag.
The center of lift on this aircraft is actually in front of the center of mass. On ascent this is fine, because the craft is simply too fast and optimized to climb. It can be a real headache on descent though. (It does become stable when all the propellant is burned however, as most of the dry mass left is in the nose)
What might you do if you download the craft file?
Already without adding or removing any parts, you can greatly improve range. I accidentally left the monopropellant in the cockpit, and the wing tanks are empty in this version, but can be filled, giving the ssto enough range for a Minmus landing and return.
As suggested in the video, the payload release system could be tweaked.
And of course, you can get creative and do crazy things I would never expect!
