As you can imagine, Costner didn’t exactly love what Grimes had to say. According to Daily Mail, paparazzi tracked the former Yellowstone star down to Aspen, Colorado, just to ask him if he’s spoken to Grimes since the series ended. Reportedly, Costner responded with a curt, “We’re done talking.” Ouch. “I’m not thinking about [the Yellowstone finale],” Costner continued as the paparazzi hounded him. “I don’t think I’ve given it any thoughts. We’ll just let it go.”
Before season 5’s midseason premiere, the Horizon: An American Saga director also claimed that he didn’t watch to see how Yellowstone wrote John Dutton off the show. “I heard it’s a suicide, so that doesn’t make me want to rush to go see it,” he told SiriusXM’s The Michael Smerconish Program. "I’m going to be perfectly honest. I didn’t know it was actually airing last night… I found out about it this morning."
