Working away at the mage forge we've crafted a mundane magic item except for the fact it a powerful plot device built into it. The ability change campaign settings and worlds when the stars are right. Normally it's magic mearly let's it lock and unlock things that open, but once when all is right it can open anything including magical seals, doors, prisons, and even magical barriers set buy gods and god like beings. We wanted a magic item that was useful but mundane except in the hands of a dungeon master that wanted a plot device for his D&D game.
