KF2 CD | nt_v1 72-89mm Blitz | Sharpshooter | Killing Floor 2 Controlled Difficulty
Knocked out some quick blitz games the other night. This was the first. It's a shame Dust 2 has complicated enough zed pathing that this was basically the maximum we could push it to. The server gets really, really mad if you go above 88mm.
Commando :: Code the Void
Field Medic :: Exxo (Lulu)
Gunslinger :: GreatMightyP00
Gunslinger :: tknk
Sharpshooter :: EtherealDoom
Sharpshooter :: Leg (Leg-End)
The Blitz category is a hybrid between the traditional CD and Time Attack gameplay models.
In this category, the MaxMonsters increments by 1 for every 90 seconds of wave time (aka "Match Time").
Time spent during the Trader and Lobby do not count toward this interval.
ZED Time slows the timer's speed by 80%.
The ultimate goal of this category is to place an emphasis on efficiency. Win the match before things snowball out of control. Strategies which save time are heavily rewarded, while slower tactics (e.g. kiting) are punished.
nt_v1 is a medium difficulty cycle designed to act as a transition from easier cycles, like asl_v3, bl_v2, and ts_mig_v1 into mid-level CD cycles like osffi_v1 and ts_mig_v2. It constantly bombards the team from all sides, keeping them under consistent pressure down to the last few zeds of each wave. The cycle is a test in whether the team can keep atop the steadily increasing pace of large spawns. Players should be prepared to execute takedowns in both real- and zed-time.
There are very few clusters of any individual zed and squads are designed to prevent "dead" lanes with no large spawns. Instead, players will be constantly transitioning across all zed types and managing weapons and aim points accordingly.
The genesis of the cycle was "No (Scrake) Train," that all its Scrakes should be in on the action, rather than wandering in after the fight is over for an obligatory cleanup. The acronym NT has also come to mean "Nice Try."
Join the Tamari's KF2 Discord: https://discord.gg/tamarikf2 We're a chill and close-knit community looking to enjoy Killing Floor 2 (and even other games) drama-free and care about having fun above all else. The servers feature a lot of QoL improvements to the game and things like custom achievements, additional prestiges, and a lot more - all with the goal of augmenting the vanilla experience, not changing it. We also play CD basically every day and it is one of our stated goals to introduce new people to the mode. If you're interested, come join us! We don't bite :)
