Tibbs' little pet project turned out to be even spicier than we thought it would be. Wave 3 is incredibly nasty in NBD, having more larges than mig3's wave 5, and combining that with Miasma's tiny map resulted in an unhinged experience where wave 3 was the hump wave, and the very first run that made it past was almost an automatic victory for any team that could get there.

I'm not super happy with how I played in this run, particularly in the speed and accuracy department since I had way too much downtime to reloads from missed shots as I tried to chain larges, but some clutch rotates held my lane together in the end. Shout-out to Virazu on that.

An interesting thing about Miasma that I've been noticing is that, in a good number of waves, it almost gets easier as the cycles get harder. I'm pretty sure the larges are often getting completely stuck in their pathing, which results in an often-anemic flow to the hold. It would be really interesting to see how this map plays with a few chokepoint volumes added to the stairs. (Chokepoint volumes shrink intra-zed collision detection down to a very small size.)

NBD_v0b is the second draft of my beyond-mig3 cycle. It spikes in difficulty extremely early, driving wave 2 and 3 economy to their absolute limits, then settles into a steady progression to an extremely heavy crescendo. It also has a significant quantity of mediums to keep a team on their toes--particularly its ubiquitous husks--and groupings of larges that are intended to keep their numbers fair and distributed while also extremely challenging on every engagement angle, with potential for some spicy buildups if unlucky or left unchecked. NBD is meant to push even the best teams to their limits without being an overly punishing RNG-fest.

The precision category limits perks to Commando, Field Medic, Gunslinger, Sharpshooter, Support, SWAT (the traditional perks of CD).
