Totally unrelated to this commercial, DC Comics and KFC ran a 3-issue miniseries in which Colonel Sanders teamed up with notable superheroes for intergalactic hijinks, as well as team-ups with Colonels of alternate universes, one of which is a giant chicken. The miniseries also saw the first and only appearance of Flash from Earth-11... which is the most inauspicious debut of a character ever.
