This is video #021 in my Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days playthrough. On Day 53, Roxas does the optional Mission 17, to defeat the Tailbunker in Twilight Town's Tram Common. This is probably the most challenging mission in this set. Be sure to pack plenty of Blizzard charges for this mission. If you want an easier time against some optional foes, also bring some Fire charges. Also, it's a good idea to pack Ethers or Hi-Ethers.

Roxas starts at the Station Plaza. The real challenge getting to the Tailbunker is the Poison Plant in Station Heights. It is not necessary to beat it to complete the mission. Here is where the Fire spell will help. At the bottom of the Station Plaza, an optional Bulky Vendor can be found. The Fire spell will help defeat this, too.

The Tailbunker is found in the Tram Common. This is a flying Heartless with a spiked ball on its tail. It will start out flying. It can do a swooping attack with its claws, it can do a spinning charge, it can flip head over heels, and it can shoot four homing fireballs. Most of these attacks should be avoided with the Dodge Roll. Wait for it to attack and then get in some physical attacks or Blizzard spells before it starts its next attack.

Eventually, it will crash to the ground and use a new attack pattern. One of its attacks is to hover in the air for a moment and then charge. The next is to jump into the air, flip around, and then crash land. The third attack is to hover in the air and fire homing fireballs. It can also jump and land, creating a shockwave. In this mode, it is best to keep Roxas at a distance and use Dodge Roll to avoid the attacks. Wait for it to finish its attack and then have Roxas use a physical attack or Blizzard. When Tailbunker screeches, it will return to its flying mode.

It seems to be immune to Fire magic, so don't bother with Fire.

When the Tailbunker is dead, Roxas can safely collect the two treasures in this mission. One is a Blazing Shard next to the northwest stairs in the Tram Common. The other is a Panacea in the southwest corner of the Tram Common. The Unity Badge is easily collected in front of the station door in the Station Plaza.
