This is video #016 in my Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days playthrough. Starting from Day 25, new panel slots will be unlocked in Roxas's panel grid as he completes missions. This is a definite incentive to complete optional missions.

For now, Saïx sends Roxas and Xion to Twilight Town on Mission 14 to eliminate the Darkside that has surfaced. As the intel suggests, you will want to be sure Roxas has a Block panel installed.

As the mission starts, Xion lowers her hood. That's interesting; she looks a lot like Kairi for some reason.

Again, the mission will end immediately when the Darkside is defeated, so all the chests should be collected before then. A chest containing the Potion is right at the start in the Side Street. A Blazing Shard can be found in a chest at the northern exit from the Side Street. In Station Heights, two chests contain one Potion apiece: one at the south end and one at the north end. Watch out for Possessors and Minute Bombs on the way to the Station Plaza.

As the pair arrives in the Station Plaza, the Darkside appears behind them. Before engaging the foe, collect the Moonstone from the northeast corner of the plaza.

Then, engage the Darkside. This enemy will be familiar to anyone who has played the first Kingdom Hearts. He will first sink his right hand into the ground and summon two Shadows. While he is doing this, you can strike him in the head or in the hand. He will stand up for a while, giving you a chance to jump and hit his hand. Then, he will punch the ground with his right hand and create a big shockwave. This is his most painful attack. If Roxas stands still, it will deal repeated powerful hits. To get over it, you can jump and do an attack.

The Darkside's next attack is to fire homing balls of energy. Stand back a bit, target his head if possible, and use block to send them back at the Darkside. The Darkside will repeat his ground-pounding attack. Then, he will use his left hand to pull a red orb out of the ground and throw it into the air. The orb will drop down dark balls of energy onto Roxas. Keep moving to avoid this attack.

This enemy is not terribly hard to defeat. At the end of the battle, Xion will finish off the enemy. With Roxas's Keyblade. Hm... In the following scenes, the pair gets ice cream together and talks about Axel.

The mission rewards include two Blizzard panels, which will be useful for the new world coming up. Roxas also gets a Slot Releaser, which unlocks an additional panel slot.

The next morning, when Roxas reaches the Grey Room, he walks in on a heated conversation between Xigbar, Xaldin, and Demyx. Uh oh, it sounds like something's gone wrong at Castle Oblivion. That Saïx sounds pretty cold about it, too.

When we have control of Roxas again, talk to Xaldin. He will give Roxas a Hi-Potion if a weapon panel is equipped. Cool.

The best thing about Day 26 is that the Moogle Shop is now open. The Chrono Gear and Lift Gear are the best Keyblade options at the moment. Triplecast is invaluable, too. The Soldier Ring accessory will increase Roxas's melee damage. Aerial Recovery is useful throughout the entire game; it will let you regain control of Roxas quickly after being hit. It is also a great idea to buy as many Slot Releasers and Level Ups as you can.

You can also use synthesis at this point. A simple, good recipe at this point is the Hi-Potion recipe. For 800 munny and 2 regular Potions, you can get one Hi-Potion. I recommend getting at least 10 in stock.

The next mission will be in the desert city Agrabah, so I recommend installing one of the new Blizzard panels before starting.
