Before doing this, you must have a Highest Ribbon/Ribbon+ & a Ribbon equipped or 3 Ribbons equipped to your Armor and you must be all set up for Xaldin, then save.

Restart your PS2, load up KH2FM again, go to Garden of Assemblange without spawning any heartless, then go to Luxord. Skip the cutscene and sit there while Luxord kills you. Now go fight Xaldin.

When the fight starts, sit there and use a Reflega, then Aerial Dive, Horizontal Slash x3, then a finisher (no Aerial Finish). Guard his next attack which should be his lunge, get as many jumps as you can, then use them once you see Xaldin move back a bit.

Use Magnega after the 1st set of jumps, then guard his next attack and repeat 3 more times without using Magnega. Once you guard his lunge for the 5th time, use Magnega again and he should counter with his Raining Spears move.

Keep in mind that you want him to be a bit over 8 bars of HP by the time you guard his attack for the 5th time. When he starts his Raining Spears move, go into Final Form once the 1st part of it starts. Collect as many Jumps as you can and when he does the final part of his Raining Spears move, use Reflect and use all of your Jumps.

After you use all of your Jumps, do a full aerial combo and once you see the 1st finisher, use Firaga and do a 2nd finisher, followed by another Firaga and a 3rd finisher.

He should counter with his Raining Spears move again, so repeat again collecting as many Jumps as you can and kill him. If he doesn't counter with his Raining Spears move and counters with either Wind Barrier + DM or just his DM, then reset your PS2 and try again.
