This is a stupid stupid stupid stupid stupid stupid stupid stupid stupid stupid stupid fight. If there's an example of an anti no damage boss in the series, this is probably it. This fight is practically designed to damage you. Random luck factors ruin the potential fun in this along with the clunky jumping the game has. However, after about 40ish tries I was able to No Damage this with crazy restrictions after figuring out some tricks to the fight to help make it more possible and less random. I'll explain more in strategy section.

*Strategy*

So you'll find out real quick that you have to stand on the platforms constantly. If you don't, you'll fall into acid and take damage. It's small damage, but it ruins no damage runs. However, there are a number of tiny tricks to make use of to make this fight really easy (unless you want to No Damage).

Trick #1: When on the platforms, if you stand on one too long, you'll fall into the acid. While this is easy to fix by jumping to another platform, it makes it much harder if you do that too much, because of weird jump animation in this game. Sometimes your jump might not even get read! Instead, when you're far enough away, just keep jumping in the air every second or two to stop it from sinking. That easy.

Trick #2: When you're comboing Parasite Cage, jump from the back directly in front of him to the platform that's in front of him and wait for him to put out a move then break it with a combo. Make sure your last card is 7 if you can, that means he can't counter you, only card break you, which the platform should save you from acid if timed enough. When this happens, jump back left or back right quickly to a platform. You can change camera, but I memorized where to jump.

Trick #3: Gimmick Card can make this hard. You do get a few free combos in, but when the acid comes back, you'll have to get a little lucky with landing on a platform.

Trick #4: If you use duels normally, you might notice that you'll just end up falling into the acid fight after. There is a way around this. There's a pretty specific time where if you time the duel with a platform position, you'll land on the platform. This requires pretty good timing and good spacing (can't do it at a weird angle).

How to actually get the duel to come out, the beginning of your deck has 7-5-4 here. Just wait until the boss uses one of those 3 cards and then if the platforms are lined up decently, do the duel. If not, you can try to card break combo him.

And that's that. Might be potentially possible to do this without Duel, but not really worth it imo because then you're back to making this more luck based.
