I heard in a talk from a trafficking victim to never go to local cops about stuff like this, always fbi or sex crimes hotline. I know this isn’t trafficking, but I think the point is still important about sex crimes. The victim I heard said that local pd often does nothing. Feds are the way to go. It’s such a gross system.
