Greece has one of the lowest crime rates in Europe. 2014 statistics show that 65% of crime in Greece is committed by illegal immigrants, in 2017 that went up to 75-80%. There is also a huge range of robbery by organised Albanian and Bulgarian illegal immigrants. Greek police force has had several successful operations in dismantling gangs, terrorist groups and deporting illegals.
However there have been rumours of Greek policemen torturing illegal immigrants and breaking their arms and legs. The Greek hunting gangs who go around and "hunt" illegal immigrants have received little attention from police. Some say that Greek policemen collaborate with the gangs and help them trace and beat illegal immigrants. Their reason is "We are normal citizens, we are protecting the children of Greece by hunting down and stopping these rapists. If the police don't stop the illegals from raping our teenagers then we definitely will." Ever since these squads have been made it's reported that rape by illegals has gone down 40% and they have made life for illegal immigrants in Greece dreadful. The highest type of crime in Greece is bribery and corruption, the lowest type is murder and rape.
