I saw a lets play of this game when it was new like a decade ago and never got around to it. It just seemed ok, and after playing it now: yeah, it's fine. I don't regret playing it or anything, but I can't really recommend it either. You can have a fun time here, but it's not grasshopper's best stuff.
The plot is insane, more than I remember. My memories of this game made me think the plot just sucked or was really stupid, but actually it turns out it's really stupid in a funny way. The game plays fine: pretty standard action game stuff from a dev who's made a bunch of them over the past 20 years or so (weird from the guy who started out with visual novel type stuff, but no more heroes is still the big money printer for them). You slash, you have sub weapons, most useful is projectile stuff, you upgrade your guy, just regular action game stuff. The only thing I hated was the awkward gigolo mission things where you have to get creepshots with your xray glasses; only did 1, didn't miss out on much but you can get upgrades or whatever. But yeah, if you are ok fixing a minor thing in an ini file, this game can be pretty cheap on steam, worth the 5-10 hours it takes to play it, but like soft recommend.
