Another gaming group with another GM 911 problem for Nerdarchy to address. This time we've got orcs raiding and ransacking towns.
Original GM 911 post:
Hey there fellow nerds, I have an odd situation on my hands. We recently started a 5e campaign, and I had everyone start at level three so we could get into the action. Everyone agreed, because level one can be kinda boring. I created an encounter using 5 orcs (cr 1/2), and gave plenty of options for the party to win easily: corners and dark spots for our rouge, fighting spaces and interesting terrain for our two weapon ranger, etc. However, after the ranger being hit one time, and the rouge one-hitting said orc, they fled the entire scene. They actually fled the entire town, as there were multiple raids, even if they only actually fought five. After that, they stole a boat and headed north.
