KillShot - Puzzle Shooter in Space on Gamate - GameBoy Alternatives
1I've always been a fan of the more obscure systems – those out of the mainstream spotlight, those that lurk in a weird parallel universe.
The Gamate was one such system – released as a competitor to the Nintendo GameBoy and with similar specs. There were around 60-70 games in total released for it. It is hard to film the screen but I try to show off the games I have with a few minutes gameplay. As always games are shown running on actual hardware.
This is Kill Shot - similar in concept to Arctic Zone on MegaDuck (see my video) you have to shoot the right number of times to "complete" the block to make it disappear. Basically both games are based/influenced by Quarth - the vertical arcade game with the same concept released by Konami. Simple game but one that works well on this handheld.
