Playing on a real PS2.
Been thinking about playing this one for a while, ever since talking at length with it during one of Timeisnear's streams a month or two back. Killzone is a great game that is often slighted when compared to its 2009 sequel, which I think is a bit unfair. The game was originally positioned to be the Playstation 2's 'Halo Killer', and it simply wasn't. That said, it's an excellent game in its own right, and is especially interesting to me for having what is easily the most character-driven story in the whole series. It's also very ambitious, with richly detailed environments, and tons of flashy effects, and while the game's performance FREQUENTLY suffers, it serves as a great example of the kinds of things the PS2 is capable of when you push it to its limits! Now, it's time to fight to make sure Vekta doesn't fall into the fascist hands of the Helghast!
