AWWWWW YEAHHHH!!!.. It's about time! Marsh here and I've got a new WR for King of the Monsters 2 for Super Nintendo! I was trying soooo hard to break sub 23:00... It sometimes would come down to the very second..,and the Lavicus fight... but I finally got the run I was looking for. Generally this game is a very rare one to run, because a lot of people that it's completely "set-time" based... well.... not so much.. A lot of this run has to do with prep for the bosses and effectively taking them out as soon as possible.. also getting the Power ups as soon as humanly possible also. So with that said here is a level by level breakdown...
*Huge Frogger- The idea in the beginning of this fight is to get him down enough health to have the game progress... rather than having a wrestle (which is NEVERRRR a good thing in a speed run of this game) I charge and attack him with the jet option attack. Well call this attack "Jet Punch".. The level went pretty well with getting the first power up pretty quickly. Charging and keeping things moving.. You may have seen me jet around when there's nothing to hit.. well naturally the first 2 levels are the longest and Cyber Woo walks slower than a 100 year old woman stuck in quicksand.. so jetting is a MUCH faster means of moving across the level! Huge Frogger fight was pretty good! Got the 2nd Power up item, knocked him down and Jet Punched him into oblivion! Good level

*Eiffleyte- This level was sooooo good! Besides getting knocked down by a bomb and getting a reverse status once.. It was pretty awesome! Running into the enemies in the beginning of this level actually kills them faster then running around and punching them haha.. (funny thing is this is the only level where this works). The Eiffleyte fight was pretty good! I accidentally knocked him off the screen in the beginning but oh well,, I also decided to do a wrestle here because I was at 49000 points and wanted that extra 1-UP. Then the 2nd wrestle so I could take him out and have time to charge to instant KO the head of Eiffleyte! Amazing:)

*Claw Head- This level is cake. Just move right.. watch the mountain rise (I charge here to be ready.. It's always good to charge in places where you have to wait to progress as to save time).. and move right again to the boss.. Claw Head could have been a little faster.. I missed some of the Jet Punch hits but easily made them back up at the end... (I was gonna get up to reset but I decieded.... meh I'll keep going lol)
*Beetle Master- Intro sand pits went pretty good! Jumping to save time when I could. It's sort of spooky to jump while the shark fins go by.. you can get easily hit and then sucked into a sand pit that way... losing close to 5-6 seconds..I LAND THE FALL! Then I charge up here and wait for the fight with Beetle..There's a point in this fight when a -P block shows up and could have easily trolled the hell out of me and could take away all of my power ups... leaving me weak as hell and the run would have been over.. but luck was on my side and for some unknown reason... I didn't pick it up! I knocked him out pretty quick and he didn't have a chance to even attack after he changed colors (epic). Decent fight!
*Sack Eyes- This level is a complete joke... Just swim forward.. pretty simple. I charged before the fight so I could get a solid starting Jet Punch sequence going also.
Other than getting shot by a ship twice, this fight was solid as hell!
*Lavicus- This fight is pretty much what this speed run is all about. This, if messed up, could end the run dead in it's tracks. Why?.... SO MUCH RNG!!!!!! What Lavicus does is so completely random and off the wall.. and his life bar is HUGE!... To make matters worse,, 4 of his attacks either are long animations.. or knock you over, which can screw you over 3 seconds per fall.. So let's say you fall over 4 times... that's 12 seconds lost!... So needless to say, this boss could either make or break your run. I have to say that this fight went fantastic! Ending this fight with the in-game timer at a 64 is a tough as shit thing to do... You have to consistently keep him knocked down .. and if he gets up.. you have to make enough room in between him and you to charge so you can Jet Punch him back down. This went very well and I'm very happy with it.
*Hide Out (Boss Rush)- Pretty self-explanatory.. Try to beat all the bosses again as fast as possible..Pretty much the same strats apply here. They're style doesn't change much, if at all.(Sack eyes however was pissing me off.. that could have been faster haha)..Took a few good hits from the 2nd Lavicus fight and lost a life, but it actually was way better than it could have been.
*Famardy- Ironically... the end boss is by FAR the easiest boss in the entire game. He's super slow and very easy to punch lol. This was a pretty decent Famardy fight. Just Jet Punched him out quick!
And that's it! King of the Monsters 2 for SNES in (22:29) !
Enjoy! :)
