"Our app is a location based RPG game that integrates with foursquare information (checkins, data, and etc) where consumers compete by obtaining game resources and generating the most checkins. Our game logic choreographs interactions between users, their neighborhoods, and Foursquare venues.

Developing game logic that integrates multiple apis, location, and ability to scale was a challenge. We used sequelize, postgres, redux to manage state. For the front-end we used pwa, passport, sockets, web api, google api, foursquare api, flickr api. Additionally we created our own maps/characters/icons."
