This video features the boss fight against the Shadow Stalker and the Dark Thorn in Beast's Castle from Kingdom Hearts II. The two bosses are in fact the same entity: after defeating the Shadow Stalker it will broke its chains and transphorm into the Dark Thorn right away, triggering the second fight immediately.

Note that this video was recorded while playing Kingdom Hearts II on its Final Mix, 2.5 ReMIX version from the 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX compilation for the Playstation 4 and on Standard difficulty. I was also playing on my Playstation 4 Pro.

The Shadow Stalker pretty much acts as an unique, more powerful possessor Heartless: he will take control of a single piece of the ballroom at a time and attack you with it. Hence, the whole fight is only about Sora forcing the boss out of its possessed obect and hit it enough time till it'll go towards its next objective, rinse and repeat.

The Dark Thorn is a more aggressive, beast-like boss, but it remains pretty manageable. Its invisibility gimmick is pretty much useless as you can lock on the Heartless anyway.

As all the early bosses in Kingdom Hearts II, both the Shadow Stalker and the Dark Thorn are severely hindered by the reaction command you can trigger against them and completely ravaged by your drive forms. The only genuinely challenging element of the fight is that you can unlock the Cure spell only after this boss battle, so you must relay on items to heal yourself
