Previously, Sora and Riku defeated the evil Xemnas, and after a visit to the Dark Margin, they made it through the door to the light. Now, it is time for the final scenes and the credits. Unfortunately, I probably won't be able to include Utada's Sanctuary vocals.

A touching scene plays as the heroes return home to Destiny Islands.

Afterwards, the credits begin (time 2:17). The credit crawl begins a short time later (time 6:09).

When the credit crawl is over, a final scene takes place at Destiny Islands (time 14:29). Sora and Riku talk again, and Kairi brings them a note from King Mickey.

Next, the first secret ending plays (time 16:20). This simply requires completing the story in every world and completing the game.

Then, the second secret ending plays (time 17:47). This is the true challenge to get. In Critical Mode, you must get the three Proof items from the Organization data battles, the Mushroom XIII duels, and the Lingering Will. In Proud Mode, you also have to complete Jiminy's Journal, which means meeting Jiminy's goals for all the missions and completing synthesis. Normal Mode has the nastiest requirements: in addition to completing the Journal, you also have to get 100% in all the Gummi missions. It cannot be earned at all in Beginner Mode. The second secret ending is a trailer for Birth By Sleep, the prequel to Kingdom Hearts.

Afterwards, we finally reach the ending screen (time 21:43). Phew, what a ride!

As I may have said before, I quite enjoy this game. The original content alone is worth replaying this game, but Square-Enix made the experience so much better with the added Final Mix content. Critical Mode, in and of itself, is a pretty insane challenge, but the bonuses that Sora gets are well worth it. The Absent Silhouette bosses on their own are a decent added challenge. So is the new required battle with Roxas in the World that Never Was. The true challenge, though, comes from the Organization data battles at the Garden of Assemblage, the Mushroom XIII duels throughout the game, and of course the Lingering Will accessible at Disney Castle. Limit Form makes a wonderful new asset, and it is great that we can use it in the Hades Paradox Cup or any other time Sora is on his own.

I like the upgraded graphics and music. I only have a couple of complaints about this edition of the game, and they also apply to Kingdom Hearts Final Mix in the Kingdom Hearts HD I.5 ReMIX compilation. The loading times tend to be a bit long, especially when loading from a save and when going from world to world. It also takes a while to enter a Form, though at least Sora is immune to damage while entering the Form. There are also occasional pauses that sometimes throw me off. Also, I stack my saves so that I can go back and re-record if for some reason the recording gets corrupted or lost. Unfortunately, if you keep a many saves, the game will take a lot longer to access the save files.

At this time, I have no plans to do the Gummi missions. I had enough of the Gummi insanity in Kingdom Hearts Final Mix.

In spite of these shortcomings, I have very much enjoyed recording this playthrough. I hope that you have enjoyed watching it, and I hope to see you in my other playthroughs.
